Thanks for a wonderful Macquarie Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim
Sunday 7th December 2014
Thank you to the all participants, supporters and volunteers who took part on Sunday 7th December. We were blessed with incredible conditions and thrilled to hear so many loved their swim.
A huge congratulations to the first ever back to back male elite winner Wally Eggleton, who set a blistering pace from the start and showed why he is one of Australia's best open water swimmers. The female elites Steffanie Gillespie & Zoe Whitfield put on another incredible show, with a dramatic sprint to the finish resulting in the first tied elite race in B2B history. Congratulations to all swimmers there was some incredibly quick times across all the age groups and some wonderful achievements.
We would like to celebrate 17 special swimmers who completed their 14th Bondi to Bronte. These swimmers have swam every B2B and yesterday we aknowledged and thanked them at the swim presentations by presenting them with a Bondi to Bronte Legends limited edition linen print, designed by Sian Faber. Those who could not stay for the presentations, we will send you your Legends gift this week.
14 years of Bondi to Bronte - Legends: Sally Bassett, Graeme Bell, Shaun Clyne, Mark Dalgiranis, Gayle Dundas, Denise Elder, Leonard Gentin, Rozanne Green, Ginnie Hedderman, Ziggi Lejins, Tony Moore, Coleen O'Niel, Paul Pearce, David Ross, Tim Ryan, Peter Theil & Kellie Wheelahan.

We are thrilled to have raised almost $30,000 for our charity partner The Kids' Cancer Project. As many of you are still fundraising and receiving congratulatory donations we hope to reach the $40,000 goal before January 1st 2015. We encourage you to spruik your B2B swim achievement to your family and friends to help us reach that goal. Remember all B2B swimmers who raise $250 or more for The Kids' Cancer Project will receive a refund on their swim entry - so you can still fundraise or support a swimmer via the Everyday Hero fundraising page here.
We are gathering all the pics and stories and will share with you shortly.
Thanks to all for being a part of the 2014 Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim.
