Volunteers

Volunteers – we need you on land and in the water!

Each year, over 2,500 swimmers take part across a range of courses and our amazing volunteers play a huge role in making the day a success. Swimmers often tell us that our friendly, helpful volunteers are what make the event truly special.

Each year, we’re proud to bring together a team of over 300 volunteers across land and water at both Bronte and Bondi. There’s a role for everyone as we need an armada of volunteers!

Volunteer Options

  • Land Volunteers - No need to be a Bronte SLSC member! We welcome friends, family and community members - a wide range of roles are available at both Bronte and Bondi
  • Water Safety Volunteers - Must hold a current and proficient Bronze Medallion from any Australian Surf Life Saving Club
  • Bronte Cadets - Must be a Bronte Cadet with either an SRC or Bronze Medallion.

As a thank you, all volunteers receive:

  • A free 2026 B2B t-shirt and cap
  • Food and drinks on the day
  • A shuttle bus between Bronte and Bondi
